Tea Plus in Slidell, Louisiana was conceived as a restrained contemporary interior with soft industrial undertones, emphasizing clarity and controlled minimalism. The plan is linear and legible, with a long service counter acting as the primary datum. Seating is pushed to the perimeter—bench seating along the wall and low communal perches in the foreground—preserving a clear circulation zone and reinforcing a calm, uncluttered customer flow.

The interiors rely on a monochromatic mineral palette—microcement walls provide a continuous, matte backdrop, while brushed stainless steel appears at the counter, hood soffits, and menu banding for a precise look. Large-format porcelain tile flooring grounds the room with durability and visual neutrality.

Wood accents—especially in the wall backing—soften the space and add warmth to the cool microcement.

The materials are intentionally understated, allowing texture and proportion to carry the design rather than color or ornament.

The lighting in Tea Plus is layered and diffused with cloud-like pendant fixtures that provide ambient illumination and a softness that is juxtaposed by the industrial motif throughout. Task lighting at the counter is integrated and discreet.
